How we teach at UES London

We provide highly regarded private tuition in London on a one-to-one basis, or for small groups of two or three students if requested. Our aim is to help you get into the school or university of your choice.

Our private tutoring comprises one-to-one lessons of two hours each – this builds up the stamina necessary for the real exam. Typically each lesson would either be dedicated to one particular subject (English or mathematics in the case of the SAT I, and, in the case of the ACT, science) so that you will receive tuition in the full range of topics and techniques. We also cover the full range of subjects for other exams, including the SAT II Subject Tests.

When you first join us, we will ask the student to complete a short diagnostic test, which will tell us which exam is appropriate (if applicable) and where his or her strengths lie. During tutoring sessions, these results will be used in conjunction with your tutor’s continual assessment to ensure that you receive the very best and most relevant learning possible.

Our tuition includes the books necessary for the exam, and our tailor-made teaching materials. You will also receive regular progress reports and the option to speak directly with your tutor whenever you wish. You are welcome to contact the office or the founder of UES London for personal help and advice at any point.

Above all, our tutors are dedicated to getting the best results possible. They do this by understanding the student’s strengths and abilities, and adapting tuition to their learning style. We pride ourselves on providing enjoyable, personalised and engaging lessons which are at the same time highly productive and worthwhile.

Usually, at least ten hours of tuition are booked in advance, but we welcome discussion about the package and lesson lengths.

We are also able to provide one-to-one tutoring over the internet via Skype, and we regularly run intensive courses for the SAT and ACT.

Please contact us to find out more, discuss anything, request advice or to book lessons. You can phone or email us and we will get back to you straight away.
